A baptism in Kovyagi, Kharkiv

“…I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Mat 16:18

A baptism in Zaporizhzhia

In the the beautiful city of Kharkiv
…things have turned for the worse and yet Christ’s church is being built. Russia has begun sending aerial missiles. At first these bombings were quite regular starting at 10:00 PM and lasting a few hours. The people got relatively accustomed to this and would do their routines in the day time and shelter at night. Then bombings became unpredictable. Since this change we have received prayer requests at all hours of the day and night. One such call came from Pastor Vitaliy. The area around his church was being bombed in the morning. I could hear sirens. There was concern in his voice as he ran through the building herding everyone into the bomb shelter. About 100 people are living there. We prayed and after a short time he called again and informed me that the building across the street was on fire. A nearby school and supermarket were hit as well. Despite all this Christ continues to build His Church. New people are committing their lives to Christ and choosing to be baptized in the Kharkiv region and beyond.

Needs are growing
With months behind us many outside of Ukraine have forgotten about this war. The news has moved on and so, understandably people have also. Yet the needs are actually growing. Few have jobs and an income at this point. Out of food and out of money one man caring for his elderly parents endeavored to reach a donation drop he had heard about. Without means of paying for transportation this man was forced to walk the 20 miles each way. Pastor Daniil found the man while making this trek in the Kherson area. He was able to provide staples like pasta, oil, canned meats and bus fare. He was able to share the love of God with him. These are divine encounters that happen daily in Ukraine. God orchestrates your donations to provide the food that willing hands and feet on the ground take to those in need. Most of us are not called to be on the front lines, but we can put the bread in the hands of those who are.

Your donations make supplies available for the needy. Thank you!

Churches feed and house thousands
Churches continue to feed, house, and distribute supplies to thousands. In Pastor Vitaliy’s church in Kharkiv, 750 people are served a hot meal daily. In addition, they distribute hundreds of food packages to the needy and help pastors in smaller towns to do the same. It is the donations of individuals like you who have generously given that keep these efforts going. The needs are greater than we know how to express. Pray and if you can please donate now. Thank you!

100% of donations designated Ukraine go to help these efforts

Many have evacuated and yet churches are full
While many have evacuated and therefore left churches, fresh people show up regularly. In Pastor Vitaliy’s church they have had a steady attendance of about 400 on Sundays. One Sunday over 100 new people attended. Many also choose to be baptized. In some churches people cannot fit in the building and wait outside eager for a message of hope. People in distress are answering God’s call. Praise God!
