I write to you as I leave for Chiapas, Mexico (a very needy area near Guatemala). I will be going at the invitation of Pastor Margarito and two Slavic ministers from Sacramento to conduct a pastors conference and crusade in the Tapachula area of Chiapas. Margarito is from Chiapas and runs a very effective Bible school. The students are from all over Mexico including Chiapas. After graduating they are sent to plant new churches. We are discussing our potential involvement in the training of these new church planters in the near future. Please pray for the Lord’s guidance.

We are currently making plans for Bible schools in the fall and spring in various parts of the world:

Armenia  – We planning to conduct a Bible school starting in September in Yerevan. Please pray for God’s provision for all the needed teachers and funds. We have had great success in prior years. Many graduates have planted new churches. And they have been reaching out to Georgia, Turkey and Iran.

Ukraine – As you are aware, Ukraine has undergone upheavals that have put a pause on some of our activities. We have been involved in humanitarian relief and continue to do so as the needs are great. Notwithstanding, earlier this year, we undertook a shortened school based in 5 different locations in the city of Zaporizhia. It was a real blessing and encouragement to the churches and it involved people who would not otherwise attend. Bishop Vasiliy and the pastors recently gathered and asked if we would again hold classes this fall – this time for a 2 month period – October and November. Please remember that there are still ongoing Humanitarian relief efforts and great needs. Please consider supporting these needs.

Crimea – We have an ongoing request to hold another school but must wait for the right timing. We had hoped to bring students from Crimea to Zaporizhia earlier this year but the conditions did not permit. We hope to reach out to Crimea in the future and travel there through Russia as the border crossing from Ukraine can be very troublesome. We have continued to support Pastor Daniel and the work there. The needs there are big as well. They’ve had a long process of having to re-register under Russian law.

Kenya – I have been in discussions with a Ukrainian missionary who ran a Missionary school in Ukraine and sent a number of missionaries to Africa as well as Central Asia. He now resides here in the US but is about to move to Kenya. The plan is to establish a Bible school in Kitale that will prepare church planters for East Africa. Classes are scheduled to begin in mid January and we would like to start scheduling teachers for 1-2 week periods as soon as possible. Pastor Kapten in Mombasa is also requesting that we return there. We may do so in the near future if we can get costs reduced to an affordable level. Perhaps we can do both cities, Kitale and Mombasa, simultaneously. The needs for training in Kenya and East Africa are great. Please pray for God’s direction and provision.

Nepal – Ken Hart, one of our teachers from the UK has been working in Kenya for several years – building a home for orphans, training workers and doing other ministry. He has also been working in India and more recently in Nepal. We were discussing, just hours before the great earthquake, setting up a training school to prepare new leaders in Nepal. There has been an unprecedented response to the Gospel and a huge need for church planting. Right now Ken is involved in humanitarian relief as well as ministry there. He is headed to Nepal in a few days and will bringing relief and support from our ministry and others.

Mexico – The Lord connected me with a Pastor who runs a very effective Bible school near Ensenada, Mexico. The Bible school draws students from all over Mexico. They are then sent out to plant churches. Some of these students are from Chiapas, a very needy area near Guatemala. I have discussed the possibility of having our teachers participate in the training of new church planters at the Bible school in Ensenada. Please let me know of your interest and availability.

Please pray for safe travels, successful ministry in Mexico and for Nina and the family. Please also pray for the finances to carry on this ministry. We cannot do it without your prayer and support.
