We are happy to announce the start of our Bible School in the City of Slavyansk, in the Donetsk Region of Ukraine. 70 students are enrolled in this intensive rapid deployment Bible Training School. We are excited about the opportunity to train new leaders to enter the Harvest in this Eastern part of the country, not far from Russia. This is a key city from which churches have been launched in this needy region. Please pray for the students as they answer the call to missions and our teachers from the US and the UK who will be teaching here. We have financial obligations and are trusting God to meet the needs as the local students cannot pay for this. Your prayers are appreciated.
In April we are launching our ministry in Africa. Our Mission to Africa will take place in the city of Mombasa, Kenya. We will conduct our first School of Ministry in Africa. We will be training 300 pastors in our day sessions and 500 hundred additional leaders in the evenings. We will culminate with an evangelistic rally to reach the lost for Jesus Christ. During this time we plan to also reach out to the poor and needy. God has put together a wonderful team of Pastors and Teachers from the US, Canada, Sweden, and Indonesia. The team members from Indonesia will include 15 persons who will be doing a medical camp (there is a scarcity of doctors and medical help is difficult to obtain), feeding the poor in the villages (many poor and needy), training Christians desiring to start businesses, holding children’s crusades and other forms of evangelism.
The outreaches will have great expense. There are venue rentals, and high costs of supplies, materials, and transportation. There are higher local costs than we normally would anticipate due to the lack of resources on the part of local churches and high costs. The logistics have kept us busy and almost overwhelm us at times. The costs of the Mission are substantial. But we have a big God and we believe that He will provide through those who answer His call. We need your prayers for strength, wisdom, health and finances. Also for the political situation.
Presidential Elections will be held in Kenya on Monday, March 4th. The last elections had a lot of turmoil and violence, many were killed. The churches are praying and fasting, many are holding all night prayer meetings, for peaceful elections. They have asked us to spread the word and ask you to pray. Would you please pray and share this with your church. Kenya is a key nation in Africa and particularly in East Africa.
Some have expressed concern about our timing. But I believe that God is sending us to Kenya for such a time as this. He wants to encourage and bless the people of this nation and use them as a beacon of the Light of the Gospel in Africa.
Please also pray for our other ongoing outreaches: The work in Ukraine, in Russia, in Armenia – outreach to the people of a bordering nation much in the news.
We urgently need help with the Mission to Africa. Would you please pray and believe with us and the team members for the financial provision to make this Mission a great success and thereby a great blessing to the people of Kenya and Africa. When you sow into this ministry you are a partaker in the salvation of souls, the training of pastors, evangelists and leaders, building churches, helping the poor and indigent.
